MARTIN BARRÉ > Mamco, Genève > October 9, 2019 – February 2, 2020

“Martin Barré (1924-1993) is one of the great French figures of abstraction. His work, in perpetual evolution, has always kept as a horizon the will of an autonomous art, where painting is only painting. The Geneva retrospective retraces his work according to the five major periods that compose it, including his period known as the “conceptual episode” which includes his experiments in photography.

With the support of the Fondation Gandur pour l’Art and the French Embassy in Switzerland”
